"Kung mahilig ka kumain dapat mahilig ka rin magluto."
I always believe in that. After all, what will you eat if you do not know how to cook? Right? As for me, I started cooking at a tender age of 12 because my Grandma taught me the basics of it. Since then, I applied what I know especially during family's special event. In celebration of my Dad's 58th birthday last Nov. 8, I managed to prepare two dishes. Since we love seafoods, guess what that's the main ingredient!
My sister requested for pasta kahit hindi sya ang may birthday, hehe. I coudn't think of any recipe that time so when my Dad and I went to the supermarket, I began creating a recipe by simply looking at the pasta sauce packaging. Oh yes! Sometimes all you have to do is to be creative and resourceful. Do you agree?
Shrimp with mushroom and chunky tomato pasta & Potato and crab stick salad made passionately! ❤ |
Are you ready for the recipe? Here you go!
In preparing the pasta, saute diced garlic in olive oil then add the shrimps. Add salt to taste then pasta noodles. In cooking the noodles, add oil and salt so it would become al dente. Put mushrooms and the sauce. For the sauce, I like the gourmet ones because some of the important ingredient like for this recipe--sun dried tomato and basil are already added in the sauce. It's budget friendly but will give you a fine dining experience at home. I used Clara Ole Tomato with Basil sauce but I also put fresh basil leaves to give the pasta a more aromatic flavor. Then topped it off with Parmesan cheese and dried basil leaves. Try it!
For the salad, I learned the recipe from my Aunt in Calamba. The recipe is very simple but it became my favorite salad already. Boil the potato marbles and cut it into halves. Soak the crab sticks in hot water before shredding it. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, all purpose cream, condensed milk and pineapples. You may add chicken too. Then add the potatoes. There you go, the recipes are kinda simple and you can try it yourself. But be sure to inform me about it. :D
Remember, do it with love and passion! ❤
Happy Eating!
