When I heard the news about what happened to our fellow Filipinos in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City who have been killed (and some are still missing) by floods and landslides caused by the tropical storm 'Sendong', I urgently donated by transferring some of what I have to Philippine Red Cross to help raise funds for the victims.
Because it was really heart-breaking to see photos posted all over the web about the suffering of the families of typhoon victims.

Also, I am thankful to my high school classmate, Val, when I read her post just this morning that she's collecting relief goods through the help of Tulong Kabataan (Kabataan Partylist). And the Rural Missionary Philippines will be in charge in distributing the goods in Cagayan de Oro community. We have decided to give our used clothes (from my siblings and I) to the typhoon victims and our parents help our kababayan as well. They gave cash donations which I used to purchase bottled water, noodles and sanitary pads. Thank you so much, Dad and Mom and my siblings for all your help.
To all fellow Filipinos, we are urging everyone to help in whatever way you can. You can check out this site for the list of drop-off points for relief goods and for monetary donations: http://asiancorrespondent.com/72286/philippines-how-to-help-typhoon-sendong-washi-victims/
You can also donate through GMA Kapuso Foundation: http://www.kapusofoundation.com/donate
Or via Philippine Red Cross: http://www.redcross.org.ph/donate
Together, we can make a difference. God bless us more.
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:38)
