Glamorous @ 60: My Mom's Party

Few months before my Mom's party, my siblings and I were always thinking how we can celebrate our Mom's birthday in such a way it will make her feel special since she didn't want any sort of a program for her special occasion. She wanted it to be simple--to spend the day having fun, catching up with her friends/former co-teachers and singing all day long with family and loved ones. Actually there's nothing wrong with that but we did something different, it was something we made out of our love for her.

First, we assigned each of us a task based on our skills. We even informed our Dad about this 'surprise' plan for her. We finalized our theme for her special event and list down everything we needed. My youngest sister, Jenny who's well-versed with technology, asked our relatives abroad to take video of themselves about our Mom that they needed to reveal and of course, their birthday greetings for her to come up with a special video presentation for our glamorous celebrant. That includes us as well :D Wala kaming takas, hehe. After preparing a list, my two sisters and I went to Divisoria to had our bonding and shared about each other's insights to make the party possible. It was a tiring yet very fulfilling day but everything went smoothly just the way we planned it to be :)


I was in charge of the over-all design. But my brain cells didn't cooperate until we only had a week left, ohh I just love cramming! hehe. Our oldest brother, Jon was assigned for the projector and my other brother, Jaybee did a fabulous job as an emcee. And for my other sister, Joan, she completed the over-all flow of the program. And of course for my Dad, he had to do something to surprise his darling which I had no idea at all.
